Prototype explorer

Coming soon

The prototype is not yet available. It will provide a transparent environment for exploring how response-diversity metrics and assumptions can translate into predictions of ecosystem functional stability.

Concept sketch for the proposed response-diversity and ecosystem-stability workflow. The workshop will test and refine the scientific assumptions, metrics, validation strategy and implementation pathway behind this framework. Created in BioRender. Ganz, M. (2026) https://BioRender.com/ikkmaie

Workshop role

Scientific foundations first

The workshop is intended to define the conceptual and methodological basis of the explorer rather than present a finished tool. Discussion will focus on candidate response-diversity metrics, appropriate data sources, empirical validation, spatial extrapolation, uncertainty and use cases.

The longer-term aim is a spatially explicit explorer that can demonstrate how information on response diversity may support conservation, restoration, policy and management without implying a single universal stability index.
